He also emphasized the urgent need to settle the Kurdish problem based on equity and justice.

Opening the press conference, Yapıcıoğlu solemnly commemorated the anniversary of the Srebrenica Genocide, condemning the perpetrators and supporters of the heinous crime that claimed the lives of over eight thousand innocent civilians, including women and children, in 1995. He stated: "We curse the perpetrators and supporters of this genocide."

Reflecting on the recent Presidential and Deputy General Elections, Yapıcıoğlu acknowledged that the nation had expressed its will with high voter participation and hoped that the election results would bring benefits to the country and its people. He stated: "I wish the new period to be beneficial for all of us. I hope we will endeavor to serve our people with all our means."

Yapıcıoğlu proudly shared the foundation and principles of HÜDA PAR, stating: "HÜDA PAR was founded on December 19, 2012, with the motto 'Honest Politics, Real Justice.' We have acted with an understanding that honors the rights and protects the interests of our people from the first day."

He expressed confidence that the party had injected a new breath into Turkish politics with its original program and principled stance.

Acknowledging the intense and contentious nature of the recent election process, Yapıcıoğlu stated: "A lot has been said for and against. As HÜDA PAR, we had the opportunity to be represented in the National Assembly with the favor of our nation in the 11th year of our political march." He expressed his hopes for the new period, emphasizing their dedication to serving the people.

Addressing the responsibilities ahead for HÜDA PAR in the Assembly, Yapıcıoğlu emphasized the need for politics to be grounded in justice and fairness. He declared: "Politics should be based on justice and fairness, not on interests and biases. We insisted that solutions to both internal and external problems should be sought on a political basis."

With Türkiye about to enter its second century, Yapıcıoğlu underscored the importance of thoroughly evaluating the past century and drawing valuable lessons from it.

He stated: "It is necessary to create a new Türkiye vision. We cannot ignore our thousands-of-year-old civilization. We believe that we should return to ourselves and to our essence, as the heirs of a civilization that left its mark on history with the strength it gained from the values of belief in the past."

Expressing the urgency for a new constitution, Yapıcıoğlu asserted: "In order not to lose another century, the political institution must face the fundamental problems of Türkiye. Steps must be taken now for a new, indigenous, and just constitution made by civilians."

He emphasized the importance of a constitution that guarantees fundamental rights and freedoms, free from external influence, and in alignment with society's beliefs and values.

Turning his attention to the Kurdish issue, Yapıcıoğlu stated: "A society of trust must be built by ensuring the safety of life, property, religion, mind, and generation of all our citizens. The 'Kurdish Question' has turned into a major problem over time due to some wrong policies implemented a hundred years ago. It should be resolved on the basis of justice and equity, without being reduced to an external conflict." He stressed the significance of repairing the damaged Turkish-Kurdish brotherhood on the basis of justice, which would foster a closer bond between the state and its citizens.

Concluding the press conference, Yapıcıoğlu expressed HÜDA PAR's commitment to serving the people and bringing their political understanding and solutions to the forefront in Parliament.

He stated: "We will carry out an active and effective work program on all issues that we have declared in our 2023 Election Vision Document and which we believe are in line with the interests and benefits of our people." He concluded by seeking divine assistance on their journey of serving the people.

Accompanying Yapıcıoğlu at the press conference were HÜDA PAR Secretary General and Gaziantep Deputy Şehzade Demir, HÜDA PAR Spokesperson and Batman Deputy Serkan Ramanlı, and Mersin Deputy Faruk Dinç. (ILKHA)
