Construction costs in Türkiye rise by 47.95% in May
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) announced on Tuesday that the construction cost index (CCI) in Türkiye increased by 47.95% annually and by 0.54% monthly in May.
In May 2023, construction cost index (CCI) increased by 0.54% compared with previous month and increased by 47.95% compared with the same month of the previous year.
Material index increased by 0.28% and labor index increased by 1.23% compared with the previous month.
Also, material index increased by 33.55% and labor index increased by 104.83% compared with the previous year.
Building construction cost index increased by 49.97% annually and by 0.77% monthly
Building construction cost index increased by 0.77% compared with previous month and increased by 49.97% compared with the same month of the previous year.
Material index increased by 0.60% and labor index increased by 1.17% compared with the previous month.
Also, material index increased by 35.38% and labor index increased by 105.27% compared with the previous year.
Construction cost index for civil engineering increased by 41.50% annually and decreased by 0.22% monthly
Construction cost index for civil engineering decreased by 0.22% compared with previous month and increased by 41.50% compared with the same month of the previous year.
Material index decreased by 0.78% and labor index increased by 1.42% compared with the previous month.
Also, material index increased by 27.93% and labor index increased by 103.18% compared with the previous year. (ILKHA)
