The clashes, which erupted last Friday over a long-standing land dispute, have continued to escalate, despite efforts by the district administration to broker a ceasefire.

On Tuesday, sporadic gunfire broke out in several areas of Kurram District, including Khar Killay, Balishkhel, Pewar, and Tari Mangal. These confrontations resulted in further casualties and injuries, emphasizing the urgent need for a lasting resolution to prevent further bloodshed.

Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Sajid Hussain Turi, has also arrived in the tribal district to facilitate negotiations and promote a peaceful resolution.

The district administration has urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with the authorities in their efforts to bring the situation under control.

Local leaders and religious scholars have called for a peaceful resolution to the clashes, urging both sides to lay down their arms and come to the negotiating table.

They have also appealed to the government to play a more active role in mediating the dispute and ensuring that a lasting peace is achieved.

The clashes have caused widespread fear and anxiety among residents of Kurram District. They have also disrupted the local economy and led to the closure of schools and businesses.

The authorities are under increasing pressure to bring the situation under control and prevent further bloodshed. (ILKHA)
