US sends 650 PKK/YPG members to Ukraine to fight Russia
The United States has sent around 650 members of the PKK/YPG to Ukraine to fight against Russian forces, according to Russian news agency Sputnik.
The report, which cited anonymous sources, said that the PKK/YPG members were transferred to Ukraine through Iraq's Kurdistan region.
It was noted that they would be deployed on the front lines to fight against Russians within six months.
The news of the deployment comes as the Russia-Ukraine war enters its seventeenth month. The war has caused a humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, and has displaced millions of people. (ILKHA)
