Zionist forces withdraw from Jenin refugee camp after two-day assault
Zionist occupation forces have completed their withdrawal from Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank following a two-day assault, resulting in the deaths of at least 12 Palestinians and more than 100 injuries.
The zionist army said that Sergeant-Major David Yehuda Yitzhak, a non-commissioned officer in combat service, was killed by Palestinian fighters in the Jenin refugee camp.
Over the course of the past 48 hours, zionist occupation regime launched a violent aggression against Jenin City and its refugee camp.
The Palestinian health ministry has reported a death toll of at least 12 individuals, including four minors, while over 100 people have sustained injuries, with 20 in critical condition.
The municipality of Jenin has revealed that water and electricity services were cut off from the refugee camp during the attack.
Additionally, the Palestine Red Crescent has stated that approximately 4,000 individuals were evacuated from Jenin.
This two-day ground-and-air assault on the Jenin refugee camp marks the largest israeli military offensive in the occupied territory since the second Intifada (uprising) from 2000 to 2005, which was a widespread Palestinian uprising against Israel's enduring occupation.
The Palestinians condemned the attack as a "massacre" and called for international intervention.
The United Nations Security Council is expected to hold a meeting on the situation in Jenin on Wednesday. (ILKHA)
