Powerful 6.9 magnitude earthquake hits Tonga's Neiafu region, no tsunami warning
Tonga was struck by a significant earthquake measuring 6.9 in magnitude on Sunday, as reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
According to the US Tsunami Warning System, there is no immediate danger of a tsunami for the US West Coast, British Columbia, and Alaska.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 247 km (153.48 miles), as stated by the USGS. (ILKHA)
