One million orphans in Afghanistan desperately seek assistance

Despite the relentless efforts of imperial powers to subject them to deprivation and destitution, the Afghan people remain resolute in their determination to raise future generations rooted in righteousness and devotion.

To achieve this noble objective, extensive measures are being implemented to provide these orphans with a comprehensive education encompassing religious and scientific knowledge. Every available resource is being utilized to instill devoutness and integrity in their upbringing. However, the significant costs associated with their housing and healthcare necessitate unwavering support from philanthropists.

Speaking on the matter, Nizamettin Aygan, an official for European Orphan Hand, emphasized that Afghanistan currently grapples with the highest poverty rates globally, compounded by the existence of nearly one million orphans.

Aygan shared his firsthand experiences after visiting orphanages and remarked: “We delivered the much-needed red meat to the orphans. Behind each door we knocked on, we witnessed the distressing plight faced by thousands of families, including widows and children. Our initial purpose was to offer sacrificial sacrifices, but the reality we encountered was starkly different.”

Highlighting the vital role of madrasas, Aygan continued: “Madrasas serve as a lifeline of hope for orphans in Afghanistan.”

Calling upon Muslims worldwide, particularly those residing in Turkey, Aygan urged: “A dire situation looms over us. While the meat we distribute will last for only a couple of days, the pain and tragedies will persist. We thus implore your support. The Qur'an underscores the paramount importance of caring for orphans and assuming responsibility for their well-being. Unfortunately, due to limited resources, madrasas accommodating orphans are forced to close their doors, leaving these vulnerable children to scavenge on the streets. It is our duty to prevent such circumstances and extend our support to these orphans. Madrasas represent their lifeline and beacon of hope. I earnestly call upon my generous brothers and sisters to rally behind this cause and lend their support to the orphans.” (ILKHA)
