Islamic NGOs distribute sacrificial meat to earthquake victims in Malatya
In the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that struck Türkiye on February 6, Islamic humanitarian organizations have mobilized their efforts to provide vital assistance to the affected communities.
Renowned NGOs, including the Hope Caravan Foundation (Umut Kervanı Vakfı), IHO EBRAR, European Orphan Hand (Avrupa Yetim Eli), and Orphans Foundation (Yetimler Vakfı), have been actively working to ensure that much-needed support reaches those impacted by the disaster.
The province of Malatya, which bore the brunt of the earthquake's destructive force, has been the focus of aid efforts. The NGOs, in collaboration with various European countries and local contributors, obtained the necessary permissions to conduct sacrificial rites, slaughtering animals on behalf of donors. The meat from these sacrificial animals has been distributed directly to the earthquake survivors currently residing in tent cities.
Expressing profound gratitude, the humanitarian organizations extended their appreciation to the compassionate donors whose contributions have made a significant impact.
Speaking to Ilke News Agency regarding their humanitarian aid efforts in Malatya, Cengiz Kurtaran, President of the Hope Caravan Foundation, emphasized their unwavering commitment to stand by the side of the earthquake victims until they find solace in secure and warm homes.
He highlighted the ongoing support provided by the organizations since the early stages of the disaster.
As the affected communities continue to rebuild their lives, the concerted efforts of these Islamic humanitarian organizations serve as a beacon of hope and a testament to the power of compassion and collective action in times of crisis. (ILKHA)
