The incident, which occurred in front of Stockholm Mosque on the first day of Eid al-Adha in Sweden, has sparked outrage and demands for justice.

Yapıcıoğlu took to his social media account to voice his concerns, stating: “The attack on the Qur'an in Sweden is absolutely unacceptable. This is not an isolated incident but rather a systematic hate crime. The fact that the attack took place under the protection of the police and, by extension, the Swedish government, is a clear indication of the adoption of Islamophobia as a state policy.”

Referring to a recent ruling by the Swedish Supreme Court, Yapıcıoğlu criticized the decision that prevented the prevention of Qur'an burning, considering it a violation of freedom of expression. He argued that this ruling not only paved the way for such attacks but also encouraged these heinous acts under the guise of freedom of speech. Yapıcıoğlu highlighted the double standards applied in Sweden, where criticizing Zionism and the crimes committed by Zionist occupiers are considered hate crimes, revealing systematic discrimination against Muslims.

Expressing his firm condemnation of the attack, Yapıcıoğlu called for the perpetrators to be held accountable under international law. He urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and Muslim countries to go beyond mere condemnation and take decisive action.

Yapıcıoğlu proposed severing all trade and diplomatic relations with Sweden and implementing a comprehensive boycott. He pointed to Morocco's example of recalling its Ambassador to Stockholm indefinitely as a model for other Muslim countries to follow. Additionally, Yapıcıoğlu suggested that Turkey should veto Sweden's NATO membership as a means of protest.

The attack on the Qur'an has ignited a wave of concern within the international community, as individuals and organizations join in solidarity to denounce this act of religious provocation. Calls for justice and accountability resonate, urging authorities to take swift action against the perpetrators and address the underlying issues of discrimination and Islamophobia. (ILKHA)
