Islamic NGOs provide earthquake victims in Adıyaman with sacrificial meat
In response to the devastating earthquake that struck southern Turkey on February 6, Islamic humanitarian organizations have been tirelessly working to assist the affected communities.
Hope Caravan Foundation, IHO EBRAR, European Orphan Hand, and Orphans Foundation, renowned Islamic NGOs, have been actively involved in relief efforts, ensuring that much-needed support reaches the earthquake-stricken areas.
These organizations have undertaken the distribution of sacrificial meat to provide nourishment to the victims. The meat was obtained from animals slaughtered on behalf of generous donors, who have demonstrated unwavering support for those affected by the earthquake.
Through the coordination of various European countries and local contributors, the NGOs obtained delegated permissions to carry out the sacrificial rites and subsequently visited container cities to deliver the meat directly to the earthquake victims.
Expressing their heartfelt appreciation, the NGOs extended gratitude to the compassionate contributors whose donations enabled them to provide substantial aid.
Cengiz Kurtaran, the President of Hope Caravan Foundation (Umut Kervanı Vakfı), emphasized their commitment to standing by the earthquake victims until they find solace in a secure and warm home. He reaffirmed their continuous support, highlighting their efforts from the very onset of the disaster.
Zülküf Bildirici, Deputy Chairman of IHO EBRAR, emphasized their immediate response to the earthquake's aftermath in Adıyaman. Bildirici stated: "Since the beginning, we have been steadfastly supporting our brothers and sisters in the earthquake-stricken region of Adıyaman, delivering aid on behalf of our generous donors. Today, we have carried out the sacrificial rites for the entrusted animals. Our donors have shown remarkable compassion for the earthquake victims, sending their sacrifices to alleviate their suffering. Additionally, we have distributed the zakat and Eid allowances contributed by generous donors from Europe. We urge benefactors to remain mindful of the earthquake-stricken region and continue their invaluable support."
Kadir Bey, representing European Orphan Hand (Avrupa Yetim Eli), expressed his gratitude as well, stating: "Today, as Avrupa Yetim Eli, within the framework of Türkiye's 2023 Kurban (Qurbani) organization, we stand united in the earthquake-stricken region of Adıyaman. We have successfully delivered the entrusted goods sent by our compassionate donors to our brothers and sisters residing in the container cities. Our unwavering commitment to assisting needy and orphaned families will persist. May Allah bless those who have been instrumental in carrying out these acts of goodness." (ILKHA)
