Raisi voices support for Russia's response to failed Wagner mutiny in phone call with Putin

Mohammad Jamshidi, Deputy Chief of Staff for Political Affairs to Iran's President, shared details of President Raisi's phone calls with his Russian and Armenian counterparts on Twitter. Jamshidi noted that President Raisi welcomed peace talks and expressed concern about any geopolitical changes in the region and the presence of external powers that could jeopardize security in the Caucasus region.

According to Jamshidi, President Putin briefed President Raisi on the recent mutiny in Russia and emphasized that the incident did not pose a challenge to Russia's national sovereignty. In response, President Raisi voiced Iran's support for Russia's sovereignty.
