Islamic Emirate's leader calls for good relations in Eid-al Adha message
In a message released on the occasion of Eid-al Adha, Mawlawi Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Islamic Emirate, expressed the desire for positive political and economic relations with the world, particularly Islamic countries.
The message, conveyed by the Islamic Emirate's spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid, emphasized the emirate's commitment to non-interference in the internal affairs of other nations, while insisting on the same respect for its own sovereignty.
Addressing the economic sector, Akhundzada dismissed predictions of the country's economic collapse, attributing its prevention to the Islamic Emirate's wise measures, sincerity, and transparency. He further claimed that the cultivation of poppy, which is used to produce illicit drugs, has been eradicated, with farmers seeking alternative crops and legal cultivation expanding. Akhundzada also emphasized the imposition of a ban on the production, trafficking, and use of all types of drugs, highlighting the positive impact on citizens' lives, particularly the youth.
In relation to women's rights, the Islamic Emirate's leader asserted that concrete measures have been taken to combat traditional oppressions, including forced marriages, and to protect women's rights under Sharia law. He underlined that steps have been taken to improve the lives of women as an integral part of society, ensuring their comfort and prosperity within the framework of Islamic principles. Akhundzada also stated that the negative aspects of the past 20-year occupation regarding women's Hijab (Islamic dress code) and misguidance would soon come to an end.
Expressing solidarity with the Palestinian cause, Mawlawi Akhundzada strongly condemned israel's actions against Palestinian women, children, and defenseless Muslims. He urged other countries to fulfill their duty in preventing what he referred to as "great human crimes and cruel atrocities."
The Eid-al Adha message from Mawlawi Hibatullah Akhundzada sheds light on the Islamic Emirate's aspirations for constructive relations with the international community, its achievements in economic stability, efforts to combat drug production, initiatives to protect women's rights, and its condemnation of israeli actions against Palestinians.
