The new minimum wage, set to take effect from July 1, will be TL 11,402 (approximately $480), as confirmed by Işıkhan during a press briefing in the capital city of Ankara.

Işıkhan emphasized the government's commitment to raising the minimum wage, highlighting their recent extensive meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Expressing gratitude for the President's input, Işıkhan expressed hopes for a decrease in inflation in the coming period.

He further emphasized the need for effective measures to control prices in the market and supermarkets, as failure to do so could undermine the significance of these wage increases.

The new minimum wage increase aims to improve the livelihoods of workers across various industries and sectors in Turkey.

As of July 1, employees earning the minimum wage will benefit from the substantial boost in their monthly income, which is expected to alleviate financial burdens and contribute to a better quality of life.

The government's decision to implement this significant increase in the minimum wage reflects their ongoing efforts to address economic challenges and support the workforce in Turkey.

The move aims to promote greater financial stability and prosperity for the country's labor force, fostering an environment of economic growth and social well-being. (ILKHA)
