During the official handover ceremony at the Presidential Complex, Yılmaz took over the position from Fuat Oktay, who expressed his well wishes for Yılmaz's success in his new role.

“We are aware that the world and our region are going through challenging times, but we also see opportunities within those difficulties. We are determined to seize new opportunities. We will transform the second century of our republic, which we refer to as the 'Türkiye Century,' into a period of prosperity. We will move forward with new projects and work in coordination with our new colleagues in the Cabinet to fulfill the dreams of our citizens. We will prioritize engaging with relevant parties in every matter, and our fundamental principle in governance will be justice. We will act responsibly in social policies and counterterrorism efforts. We will implement the policies we detailed in our election manifesto one by one. We will attach special importance to investments. We will continue our path with a focus on employment, investment, and production. We will proceed with a sustainable, inclusive, and people-centered growth approach,” Yılmaz said.

Yılmaz also underlined the commitment to fight against inflation, alleviate its negative effects, and the government's dedication to the reconstruction and revitalization of earthquake-affected cities. The government remains dedicated to fulfilling its democratic duties and closely monitoring earthquake-related initiatives.
