This marks Erdogan's second term in office since the transition from a parliamentary to a presidential system in 2017.

The highly anticipated inauguration proceedings are scheduled to commence at 14:00 local time, with President Erdogan delivering the solemn oath from the podium. This significant moment will be followed by the conclusion of primary formalities, symbolizing the official commencement of his renewed term.

The prestigious Presidential Complex will serve as the venue for the inauguration ceremony, graced by the presence of 21 heads of state, 13 prime ministers, and notable parliamentary and ministerial-level representatives from various nations.

Distinguished delegates from prominent international organizations, including the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), NATO, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), will also be in attendance, further highlighting the event's significance.

In a gesture of appreciation and camaraderie, Erdogan will later host an evening dinner at the historic Cankaya Palaca, the former residence of Turkish presidents. The dinner, scheduled to commence at approximately 19:00 local time, will provide an opportunity for President Erdogan to express gratitude to the esteemed guests for their presence and support.

The election results leading to President Erdogan's re-election were determined by a closely contested runoff on May 28. The race pitted Erdogan against Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who represented a coalition of opposition parties led by the Republican People's Party (CHP).

Ultimately, President Erdogan emerged as the victor, securing 52.18 percent of the votes, while Kılıçdaroğlu received 47.82 percent, as announced by the country's Supreme Election Council (YSK).

The upcoming inauguration ceremony symbolizes a significant milestone for Türkiye and its political landscape. As President Erdogan embarks on his second term, the nation's focus turns to the future and the implementation of his agenda. (ILKHA)
