Turkish Presidency denies sale rumors of BOTAŞ, Turkish Airlines, and State Railways
The Presidency of the Republic of Turkey's Directorate of Communications has officially refuted rumors circulating about the alleged sale of BOTAŞ (Petroleum Pipeline Corporation), Turkish Airlines, and State Railways.
In a statement released on Twitter, the Fight Against Disinformation Center emphasized the baselessness of these claims and urged the public not to trust unfounded speculations regarding Turkey's renowned energy and transportation companies.
Addressing the ongoing rumors, the statement from the Fight Against Disinformation Center reiterated that the claims of the sale of BOTAŞ, Turkish Airlines, and State Railways are entirely false.
The center stressed the need to exercise caution and avoid giving credence to such speculative statements that could potentially harm the reputation of these internationally esteemed Turkish companies.
Specifically, the center highlighted a particular claim circulating on social media platforms, suggesting that Turkish Airlines had been sold to Qatar.
