In a statement posted on Twitter, Erdoğan emphasized the importance of citizens exercising their right to vote and urged them to contribute to shaping the future of the nation.

Addressing the nation, Erdoğan stated: “I am addressing every member of my nation: It is not possible without you! Tomorrow, let us all go to the polls together for the Great Turkey Victory. Let's reflect the will that was manifested in the Parliamentary election on May 14 to the Presidential elections this time, even more strongly. Let's start the Turkish Century with our votes.”

The presidential runoff election, to be held on May 28, is expected to see the participation of over 61 million Turkish citizens. This crucial election will determine whether President Erdogan extends his rule into a third decade.

During the initial round of voting on May 14, Erdogan secured 49.5% support, narrowly missing the majority required to avoid a runoff. His main challenger, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, representing a six-party opposition alliance, garnered 44.9% support. Sinan Ogan, the nationalist candidate, received 5.2% support and was subsequently eliminated from the race. These results defied the predictions of pollsters who had previously favored Kılıçdaroğlu.

As the runoff election approaches, all eyes are on the Turkish electorate, whose votes will play a crucial role in determining the future leadership of the nation. The outcome of the election carries significant implications for Türkiye's political landscape.

With the stage set for the decisive presidential runoff, citizens eagerly await the opportunity to cast their votes and shape the path that lies ahead for the nation. (ILKHA)
