Meteorological Alert: Localized heavy rainfall expected in multiple regions of Türkiye
The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued an alert regarding the potential for localized heavy rainfall in several regions of Türkiye.
The affected areas include the Inner Aegean, northwestern parts of Central Anatolia, interior regions of the Eastern Black Sea, as well as Aksaray, Nevşehir, Yozgat, Erzurum, Kars, Bingöl, Muş, and Bitlis.
According to the latest forecasts by the General Directorate of Meteorology, the weather conditions across the country will vary from partly cloudy to mostly cloudy. Showers and thunderstorms are predicted to occur in various regions, encompassing Thrace, the Aegean region, the Lakes Region, Inner Anatolia, the interior parts of Western and Central Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia, the eastern section of Southeastern Anatolia, Bilecik, and Ordu. These areas may experience intermittent rain showers and thunderstorms.
Of particular concern are the regions of the Inner Aegean, northwestern parts of Central Anatolia, interior areas of the Eastern Black Sea, as well as Aksaray, Nevşehir, Yozgat, Erzurum, Kars, Bingöl, Muş, and Bitlis, where localized heavy rainfall is expected.
There is no significant change in temperature anticipated, with overall temperatures expected to remain within seasonal norms throughout the country.
Winds are expected to be light, blowing from the north in the western regions, while in the inner and eastern regions, winds are forecasted to be light to moderate, originating from the south.
A warning has been issued due to the expected heavy rainfall in the aforementioned regions. It is strongly advised that individuals exercise caution and take necessary precautions to mitigate potential risks.
