"Ukraine and Morocco are united by a long history of friendship and mutual respect. Morocco supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The Moroccan student community is one of the largest foreign communities in Ukraine. Ukrainian wheat is one of the traditional components of Moroccan bread. Today, we have opened doors that lead to new opportunities for our states, businesses, and citizens," emphasized Dmytro Kuleba.

The top diplomats paid special attention to President Volodymyr Zelensky's Peace Formula for the establishment of a just and lasting peace. The minister emphasized that war brings the danger of instability, which is particularly acute in African countries. He invited Morocco to join the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula, stating that it would be a genuine contribution to peace not only in Ukraine but also on the African continent.

The ministers discussed food security in Africa. They acknowledged the need for further unhindered work of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, which plays an important role in supplying food to global markets. In this context, the Moroccan side presented the opportunities offered by Morocco as a gateway to Africa.

Dmytro Kuleba and Nasser Bourita agreed to hold negotiations between Ukraine and Morocco on trade facilitation to identify prospective areas of economic cooperation, increase trade volumes, revitalize direct contacts between businesses, and discuss the simplification of the visa regime.

Cooperation in the field of education was another topic of discussion. The Ministries of Education of Ukraine and Morocco are currently working on resolving the issues faced by Moroccan students who were forced to leave Ukraine due to full-scale Russian aggression.

At the conclusion of the negotiations, the ministers signed a memorandum of cooperation between the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine named after Hennadiy Udovenko at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Moroccan Diplomatic Academy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Morocco.

Minister Bourita confirmed Morocco's intention to reopen its embassy in Kyiv.

"Since my first tour of Africa, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has conducted training for over 200 African diplomats from 16 countries. It was the first such attempt and a tremendous success story. We have agreed to develop a unique course for Morocco in which we will share the experience of Ukrainian military diplomacy, strategic communications, combating fakes and propaganda, and public diplomacy. This will be our practical contribution to strengthening the resilience of countries on the African continent," summed up the Ukrainian Minister.

Finally, Dmytro Kuleba invited Nasser Bourita to visit Ukraine.

During the visit, the Head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, paying tribute to the sovereigns who founded the modern Moroccan state and the people of Morocco. (ILKHA)
