OIC strongly condemns desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the storming and desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist settler groups, israeli ministers, and Knesset members.
These individuals performed "racist Talmudic rituals" within the mosque's courtyards, protected by zionist occupation forces. The OIC views these actions as a continuation of Israel's violations of the sanctity of holy sites and freedom of worship, which contravene the Geneva Convention and international law.
Additionally, the OIC denounced the flag march organized by settlement associations in occupied Jerusalem, affirming that the city is an integral part of Palestinian territory occupied in 1967. The organization reiterates Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine and declares any measures taken by the zionist regime to alter the city's character and makeup as null and void under international law and resolutions of international legitimacy.
Moreover, the OIC held the zionist government fully accountable for the ongoing systematic attacks that incite the sentiments of Muslims worldwide and fuel religious conflict, extremism, and regional instability.
The OIC called upon the international community to assume responsibility and intervene to halt these grave israeli transgressions, while also safeguarding the historical and legal status of Islamic and Christian sites in Jerusalem. (ILKHA)
