Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis's party is currently leading with 41% of the vote based on 40% of the ballots counted.

The center-left Syriza party, led by former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, is significantly behind with 20% of the vote.

If neither party can form a coalition, a second round of voting will take place in early July. The initial exit poll results, favoring the center-right party, were met with enthusiasm at New Democracy headquarters in Athens.

Another notable outcome of the election is the socialist rival party Pasok, which gained 12.3% of the vote and could play a crucial role in coalition negotiations in the coming days. (ILKHA)
