A total of 167 ballot boxes have been established at 151 Türkiye representatives' locations in 73 countries to facilitate the election process.

Overseas voting will continue until May 24, with an extended deadline until May 28 for those opting to vote at customs gates.

After the voting period concludes, the ballots will be securely transported back to Türkiye by diplomatic couriers.

In the initial election held on May 14, millions of voters participated in electing the country's president and parliamentary members.

While President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's People's Alliance secured a majority in parliament, the presidential race will proceed to a second round on May 28.

In the first round, Erdogan emerged as the front-runner, but no candidate attained an outright majority.

The run-off vote will witness Erdogan competing against Kemal Kilicdaroglu, the leader of the main opposition CHP and joint candidate for the six-party opposition Nation Alliance. (ILKHA)
