Having secured a parliamentary seat in Gaziantep after the General Elections held on May 14, 2023, Şehzade Demir, who ranked 6th on the AK Party list, personally visited the earthquake victims residing in container cities in the Nurdağı district. This region had experienced significant devastation after the February 6 earthquake, resulting in the loss of many lives.

During the visit, Demir warmly greeted the citizens and engaged in conversations, attentively listening to their concerns, demands, and suggestions. He made it a point to address all their questions, emphasizing his dedication to resolving issues and meeting their needs.

Expressing deep gratitude to the citizens for their support in the Presidential and Parliamentary General Elections, Şehzade Demir stated in a post-visit statement that HÜDA PAR has consistently stood by the side of those affected by earthquakes, and this support will continue in the future as well.

"To express our gratitude to our fellow citizens affected by the earthquake and demonstrate our support, today we visited the container cities in the Nurdağı district. Despite their own hardships, they have set aside personal pain to support the country and secure the future of our nation by voting for the AK Party," Demir said.

"Their choice has brought us great joy. Thus, we have come here to express our gratitude to our fellow citizens affected by the earthquake. Unfortunately, they have faced insults from certain circles due to their choices, and they have voiced their objections against these insults everywhere," added Demir.

He further noted: "There is a significant and strong reaction against these insults. On the other hand, there is a tremendous amount of support and trust placed in us. Our esteemed President also enjoys an immense level of trust. The earthquake-affected citizens have expressed their gratitude and appreciation to our President. The needs and difficulties of our fellow citizens affected by the earthquake have been relatively addressed, and they are content with their living conditions.
