5.1-magnitude earthquake strikes off Crete's south coast
A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck the south coast of Crete near the town of Moires, the Athens-based Institute of Geodynamics reported.
The earthquake occurred at 9.59 p.m. local time (1859 GMT) Thursday at a depth of 8.9 kilometers, the Institute said.
There were immediate reports of damages or casualties after the earthquake, according to local sources.
A day earlier, a 4.2-maginitude tremor had occurred in the same area. (ILKHA)
