Explosion in Tijuana, Mexico injures multiple people and damages building
Multiple people were injured in an explosion that occurred in Tijuana, Mexico, on Tuesday morning.
The explosion, which took place in the Colonia Marrón on Río Suchiate Street near the Zona Río, prompted the evacuation of 40 nearby businesses.
The Tijuana Fire Department responded to the scene and discovered a damaged building.
One individual was trapped in the basement with burns of varying degrees and was subsequently rescued and transported to the hospital.
A total of 28 people were injured in the explosion, with four in serious condition, six in moderate condition, and 18 with mild injuries.
According to the fire department, the explosion was caused by a gas accumulation in a printing press. (ILKHA)
