Vote counting commences as Turkish elections come to an end
Following the closure of polling stations at 5 p.m. local time, vote counting has commenced throughout Türkiye for the presidential and parliamentary elections held on Sunday.
The unofficial results are anticipated to be announced within a few hours.
Ahmet Yener, the chairman of the Supreme Election Council (YSK), stated that the voting process concluded smoothly without any "adverse incidents."
However, Yener also mentioned that three individuals, including a party's election observer and two citizens, unfortunately passed away due to heart attacks during the voting. (ILKHA)
