Death toll rises to 438 in Democratic Republic of Congo flood disaster
The number of casualties in the flood disaster in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has risen to 438, it was announced.
Patrick Muyaya, the spokesperson for the DRC government, stated that the death toll has increased in the flood disaster that occurred last week.
Muyaya reported that the lifeless bodies of 26 more people who went missing in the villages of Bushushu and Nyamukubi in the South Kivu province have been found.
Muyaya stated that the death toll has reached 438, and more than 4,000 people are still missing.
The heavy rainfall that occurred in the region last week caused the overflowing of the Chibira River. (ILKHA)
