During a press conference after a meeting of NATO's national military chiefs in Brussels, Bauer highlighted that Russia is currently deploying a significant number of T-54 tanks, a model that originated in the years following World War Two.

However, Bauer expressed concern over the quantity of these outdated tanks still possessed by Russia, emphasizing that it poses a challenge in terms of numbers.

He stated that Russia will now need to prioritize quantity, relying on a larger number of conscripts and mobilized individuals who may lack proper training and use older equipment.

On the other hand, Bauer explained that the Ukrainians will focus on quality, utilizing advanced Western weapon systems and benefiting from Western training. This difference in approach is expected to shape the dynamics of the conflict in the upcoming months.

During the meeting, Bauer highlighted that the NATO military chiefs reaffirmed their unwavering support to a Ukrainian representative, emphasizing that NATO will continue supporting Ukraine for as long as necessary.

General Christopher Cavoli, the top NATO commander for Europe, added that the degradation of Russian forces is uneven and primarily affects their ground forces. (ILKHA)
