Along with AK Party Deputy Chairman Numan Kurtulmuş, Yapıcıoğlu, who is also a candidate for AK Party Istanbul 3rd Region Deputy, met with people from eastern and southeastern Anatolia in Esenyurt, Istanbul, and greeted them in Turkish, Kurdish, Zazaki, and Arabic.

"Brothers, you are creating the best image of Turkey here. Although our countries, cities, villages, and the languages we speak may be different, I hope our hearts beat as one, our goals are the same, and we share one country. Our will to live in brotherhood under the same flag is also one, and I hope this determination will not be destroyed,” Yapıcıoğlu said.

He went on to say: “There were people who couldn't stand our unity, brotherhood, and solidarity in the past, and unfortunately, they still exist today and will continue to exist tomorrow. However, we can see that their numbers are decreasing, thanks to Allah's help. I hope that peace, brotherhood, and justice will prevail. Those who disregard the law, act unjustly, discriminate, or attempt to instigate conflict among our people will gradually disappear and be relegated to the dustbin of history, with Allah's help. May 14th elections will hopefully mark the start of this."

Regarding the attacks on their party's election office and booth in Mersin, Yapıcıoğlu stated that these attacks were regrettable. He further noted that verbal attacks often escalate into physical attacks.

"Five days ago, they threw a handmade explosive at our election office in Mersin. Today, they attacked our youth branch officials who were working at our election stand with guns and knives. However, let them know, and all evil forces, troublemakers, and agitators know that we will not surrender to global power centers. Someone may have taken on the role of a pawn for those global power centers, but know that this nation will never be a slave to the power centers of global imperialism. Let it be known that this country is neither their masters' nor their fathers' farm. Our people will give a very strong voice and message on May 14th on the path to full independence, and they will give such a lesson to those who have eyes on these lands that they will not only withdraw their hands, but they will not have any hope of ruling here until the end of time, God willing," Yapıcıoğlu added.
