Bus accident in western Mexico leaves 18 dead and 33 injured
A bus accident in western Mexico has claimed the lives of at least 18 people and left 33 others injured, according to local authorities.
The bus fell about 15 meters (49.21 ft) down a ravine on Saturday night while traveling on a highway that connects the state capital Tepic to the tourist destination of Puerto Vallarta.
The victims included 11 women and seven men, while 11 minors have been taken to hospitals for medical attention.
The prosecutor's office in Nayarit, where the accident occurred, stated that they have been working with federal and state authorities to provide immediate assistance to the victims. (ILKHA)
