Eurostat reports 0.1% GDP growth in euro area in Q1
Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, has released a preliminary flash estimate for the first quarter of 2023.
The report indicates that the GDP of the euro area increased by 0.1%, while the EU's GDP rose by 0.3% in comparison to the first quarter of the previous year.
The seasonally adjusted GDP grew by 0.1% and 0.3% in the euro area and the EU respectively in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the previous quarter.
In the last quarter of 2022, the euro area's GDP had remained stable, and the EU's GDP decreased by 0.1%. (ILKHA)
