Erdoğan and UN Chief discuss Syria, Sudan, and Ukraine conflict in phone call
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Friday spoke by phone with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.
During the call, Turkish President Erdoğan and UN Secretary-General António Guterres discussed various topics including the situations in Syria, Sudan, and the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Erdoğan emphasized the importance of extending the UN's cross-border aid mechanism for Syria until July, and expressed Türkiye's readiness to participate in the Black Sea Grain Initiative's working group.
He also highlighted Turkey's ability to establish dialogue with both sides of the conflicts in Sudan and willingness to call for peace talks and cooperate with the UN to resolve their disagreements. (ILKHA)
