Addressing citizens in Bursa’s Gemlik district, Erdoğan said: “We cannot increase the food on our table without expanding our industry, agriculture, energy and infrastructure. This is what we will achieve with the Century of Türkiye.”

“Togg represents a technology initiative with its design, software and clean energy solutions”

Touching upon Türkiye’s domestically-produced electric vehicle Togg, Erdoğan stated that Togg actually represents a technology initiative with its design, software and clean energy solutions.

The battery facility, for which ground will be broken today, constitutes one of the main pillars of this initiative, stressed the President, underlining that the way to having a say in the rapidly growing electric car market is through obtaining a leading role in the battery technology along with other relevant domains.

Noting that such batteries are used not only in Togg but also in many other fields, President Erdoğan expressed his wish for the SIRO battery facility, which is an investment worth nearly 30 billion liras, to yield auspicious developments for Bursa and the entire country.

Noting that the situation in markets and shops are not neglected while new projects are being implemented, Erdoğan said: “We are determined to bring inflation, which hurts our citizens, down to single digit figures permanently. We had done this before. We did it during my premiership. We will do it again. We will hold to account the covetous behind the exorbitant price hikes that have nothing to do with the real costs of manufacture. As I always say, while we are developing Togg, TCG Anadolu, Kızılelma and IMECE, we are in fact facilitating our citizens’ access to the onion, tomato and cucumber in the market and to the meat in the butcher. We cannot increase the food on our table without expanding our industry, agriculture, energy and infrastructure. This is what we will achieve with the Century of Türkiye.” (ILKHA)
