Türkiye, Iran FMs hold phone talks, discuss bilateral relations
The Iranian Foreign Ministry has released a statement saying that Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amirabdollahian had a phone conversation to exchange greetings on Eid ul-Fitr.
During the call, Amirabdollahian expressed hope that the month of Ramadan would bring Muslims closer together and promote unity among them.
Amirabdollahian announced that the Iranian Foreign Ministry has agreed to the creation of an Iranian interest section in Albania through Turkey, and thanked Turkey for their efforts.
Çavuşoğlu, in turn, praised the strong ties between the two nations and expressed the need to further expand them.
The two foreign ministers also conveyed greetings from their respective presidents. (ILKHA)
