At least 97 civilians killed in Sudan clashes
The doctor's trade union in Sudan released a statement on Monday stating that at least 97 civilians have lost their lives in the recent clashes that broke out in the country.
The violence began on Saturday between army units loyal to General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who heads the Sovereign Council, and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) led by General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, also known as Hemedti, who is the deputy head of the council.
The RSF claims to have taken control of significant facilities such as the presidential palace and the Khartoum airport, but the army has denied these allegations. (ILKHA)
