Russia airspace to be closed for flights to Europe until 2029, Eurocontrol announces
Eurocontrol has announced that Russia's airspace will remain closed for flights to Europe until 2029.
The European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol) has stated on its official website that it expects the airspace of Russia and Ukraine to remain inaccessible for flights to Europe until the end of the decade.
Eurocontrol has also pointed out that the routes for flights from Asia to Northern Europe have changed, as they now have to pass through southeastern countries.
Additionally, Eurocontrol has noted that the aviation industry is slowly recovering from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. (ILKHA)
