Erdoğan unveils AK Party's election manifesto
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is also the chairman of the Justice and Development (AK) Party, has unveiled a 23-point election manifesto ahead of the May 14 presidential and parliamentary elections.
In the manifesto, Erdogan vows to heal the wounds of the February 6 earthquakes that devastated southern Türkiye and claims to rebuild cities across 11 provinces by constructing a total of 650,000 new houses.
He pledges to raise Türkiye's strength and power to avoid falling back into the pit of political and economic bondage.
Erdogan also focuses on the areas of economy, environment, family, justice, and freedoms.
He promises to reduce the unemployment rate to 7% by creating 6 million new jobs in five years and increase Türkiye's foreign trade volume to $1 trillion.
Erdogan aims to build the axis of Türkiye with a foreign policy of peace and stability, multilateralism, more cooperation, and humanitarian diplomacy.
He also pledges to strengthen cooperation with the Islamic world and increase Türkiye's power in the areas of energy, agriculture, education, and transportation. (ILKHA)
