Sheikh Sabri: Our people will remain loyal to Aqsa Mosque
Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, head of the Higher Islamic Council in Occupied Jerusalem, has said that the Palestinian people will remain loyal to the Aqsa Mosque and will continue to defend it despite israeli oppression.
Addressing a symposium held on Friday by Muslim scholars to discuss the Israeli aggression against the Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Sabri applauded the intensive presence of Muslim worshipers at the Mosque for prayers, especially during the Isha (night) and Fajr (dawn) prayers.
Sheikh Sabri emphasized that the Holy Land of Jerusalem is Islamic by divine decree, so it cannot be waived or bargained over.
“The occupation state seeks, through its aggressive actions, to break our people’s will and empty the Old City of Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque of Muslims to make room for settlers’ break-ins,” the Jerusalemite official underlined.
“Without tight security protection, no settler would dare to defile the Aqsa Mosque. This means that the right-wing Israeli government is responsible for violating the Mosque’s sanctity and any tension in Occupied Jerusalem,” he said. (ILKHA)
