The death toll in Turkey and Syria has passed 56,000, and many survivors are enduring near-freezing winter temperatures after having been left homeless by the earthquake in cities in both countries.
More than 20,000 aftershocks have occurred after the devastating earthquakes, according to AFAD. (ILKHA)
