The main objective of our party is to come to power, HÜDA PAR Chairman says
HÜDA PAR (Free Cause Party) Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu said that when people get to know his party, they will embrace it.
In a televised interview, Yapıcıoğlu made remarks and answered questions on current issues, including his party’s decision regarding political alliances, smear campaigns against his party, as well as HÜDA PAR's perspective on country issues, election works, and projects for the future.
“When people get to know HÜDA PAR, they will embrace it”
Stressing that one of the reasons behind the intense attacks on HÜDA PAR is its capability to change the electoral balance, Yapıcıoğlu said: “We have a goal of being in power. The target we set before us as a vote was 3 percent in this election. I hope we will pass the 3 percent threshold in this election, then we will set the 7 percent threshold as the target and proceed in that direction. Now, as a first step, if we are represented in the parliament with the highest possible number of deputies, and if this voice is heard, I believe that the influence of these rumors about HÜDA PAR will be broken. When people get to know HÜDA PAR, they will embrace it. Then no one will be able to hold HÜDA PAR. This is one of the reasons for such intense attacks. Those who are worried that no one will pay a dime for our goods if this quality fabric appears, are trying to cover up HÜDA PAR and smear it.”
“We will not make politics ugly, nasty”
Yapıcıoğlu went on to say: “We penned our party programme in 2012. No one is obliged to approve every sentence of our party’s manifesto. It includes the suggestions we have made to resolve the country’s issues peacefully, through political and legitimate means. You can agree or disagree, that's another thing. But we don't deserve this kind of attack just because we have some suggestions that are against you or that you think are wrong. But anyway, everyone reveals their own mentality, their own manner. 'Declare the Style is Human with the Same’ while a person expresses himself, he actually reveals himself and what he is in a way. We will not make politics ugly, or nasty. We won't hit below the waist. We will not insult anyone. We criticize too. But our criticisms will be in the procedural circle.”
Emphasizing that the key party in the elections is HÜDA PAR, Yapıcıoğlu stated that the approach of “let the government go the rest does not matter” is not correct.
Yapıcıoğlu said: “Let this government go, the rest is not important anymore. Is the apocalypse coming, is there chaos, is there a war, is the nation getting into each other? It doesn't matter, as long as the government goes. Such an understanding cannot exist. Citizens should also consider this. Let's say the citizen saw some of the mistakes of this government, got angry with the government, let the government go. Later? These have no answers. This is why HÜDA PAR is discussed so much. HÜDA PAR wrote our party’s manifesto about 11 years ago. Have these people just seen it? Did they notice now? Or is it the first time HÜDA PAR supports the government? As those who are hostile to HÜDA PAR get to know the party, their hostility increases. They are already hostile to the party because of its identity. We have nothing to say to them. May Allah heal them, and may Allah heal them. By Allah's leave, the key party of these elections will be HÜDA PAR. That's why there are so many attacks. When HUDA PAR is discussed, they don't need to say anything else. So, what will you do to the nation? There is no need to explain this anymore. HÜDA PAR is discussed on television like a pill taken in the morning, noon, evening, and after dinner. The same sentences are chewed over and over like gum.”
“We say that not a single vote should be wasted”
Drawing attention to why these elections are critical, Yapıcıoğlu added: “Imagine now, Erdoğan wins the presidential election again, but his party does not have a majority in the parliament. Serious crises and problems may arise regarding the government. Therefore, it is critical. We say that even a vote should not be wasted. In this new system, let’s say a party within the alliance needs 70 thousand or 80 thousand votes to elect a deputy in a province. In a place where a party can elect a deputy with 80,000 votes if it gets 78 thousand votes, all those votes will be garbage. It doesn't work for any party. That's why we say that not a single vote should be wasted. We thought under these conditions. We want to be represented in parliament. We want the voice of the truth, the voice of honest politics, the fact that politics does not necessarily turn on interests, to be reflected in the parliament and people can see this. We said that the votes should not go in vain. What is best in these circumstances? We said that the best thing to do is to enter the lists. There was a mutual agreement. There was harmony between us and the AK Party at the same point. What kind of list that is prepared will get the maximum votes? Right now we are concentrating on it. Diyarbakir, Batman, Istanbul, Bursa, Sanliurfa, Gaziantep, Adana, Mersin. The important thing is to exceed 300 in total. Hopefully, we expect to be represented strongly in the parliament.” (ILKHA)
