Yapıcıoğlu offers condolences to Afghanistan, Pakistan over earthquake victims
HÜDA PAR (Free Cause Party) Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu has expressed his sincere condolences and solidarity with Pakistan and Afghanistan over the victims of the earthquake that struck the two countries and resulted in numerous deaths and injuries.
“I wish Allah's mercy upon our brothers and sisters who died in the earthquake that occurred near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border and caused numerous deaths and injuries in two countries. I also wished the injured a speedy recovery. I convey my best wishes to the brotherly peoples of Afghanistan and Pakistan,” Yapıcıoğlu wrote on Twitter.
On Tuesday, a magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck Badakhshan Province, Afghanistan, with an intermediate depth of approximately 187 km (116 mi).
At least 19 people have been killed and more than 200 injured after the earthquake in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Shaking was felt over an area 1,000 km (620 mi) wide by approximately 285 million people in Pakistan, India, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, and Turkmenistan, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre. (ILKHA)
