Islamic Emirate is not against girls’ education, Deputy PM says
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, met with the Deputy of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, Markus Potzel, in Kabul.
Kabir thanked UNAMA’s cooperation in returning Afghan personalities to the country, noting that with the cooperation of the office, hundreds of Afghan political figures have returned to the country so far.
Kabir also thanked all the humanitarian aid organizations, including the United Nations, which provide humanitarian aid to needy Afghans, and said the Islamic Emirate is liable for the security and protection of all the aid organizations.
The Deputy Prime Minister appreciated the proposal of the United Nations to ask the international community to open their embassies in Afghanistan.
Kabir underlined that the Islamic Emirate is not against girls’ education.
He emphasized that the Islamic Emirate wants good ties with all world countries and organizations, including the United Nations.
For his part, Potzel thanked the Islamic Emirate for taking concrete steps for the security of the United Nations offices. (ILKHA)
