Türkiye's agricultural input price index rises by 95.99 pct annually
Agricultural input price index (Agricultural-IPI) increased by 95.99% annually and by 6.24% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Tuesday.
Agriculture-IPI (2015=100) increased by 6.24% compared to the previous month, increased by 6.24% compared to December of the previous year, increased by 95.99% compared to the same month of the previous year, and increased by 118.18% compared to twelve months moving averages, in January 2023.
Monthly changes by main groups, goods, and services currently consumed in the agricultural index increased by 5.77% and goods and services contributing to the agricultural investment index increased by 9.62%.
The goods and services currently consumed in the agricultural index increased by 95.54% and the goods and services contributing to the agricultural investment index increased by 99.13% compared to the same month of the previous year.
Compared to general Agricultural-IPI, lower annual change observed in 6 subgroups while 5 subgroups were higher
Subgroups that indicated low annual increase were maintenance of materials with 40.24% and veterinary expenses with 46.16%. On the other hand, animal feedingstuffs with 117.25% and seeds and planting stock with 115.38% were the subgroups that high annual increase realized.
Compared to general Agricultural-IPI, lower monthly change observed in 5 subgroups while 6 subgroups were higher
Energy; lubricants with 1.81% and plant protection and pesticides with 2.94% were the subgroups that indicated low monthly increase. On the other hand, other goods and services with 35.17% and veterinary expenses with 21.45% were the subgroups that high monthly increase realized. Fertilizer and soil improvers with 4.86% was the only subgroup that monthly decrease observed. (ILKHA)
