New Welfare Party decides not to join any alliance in general elections
The Chairman of the New Welfare Party, Fatih Erbakan, announced on Monday that his party would not join any alliance in the general elections that are scheduled to be held on May 14.
“After comprehensive discussing and consulting the issue with our authorized bodies, we have decided to run in the May 14 elections without joining any alliance,” Erbakan said.
Erbakan also noted that he would be the presidential candidate of his party in the presidential election that will take place in Turkey on 14 May 2023 as part of the 2023 general elections, alongside the parliamentary election.
On March 10, Fatih Erbakan, the son of late former Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan, said that he would discuss the prospect of joining the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party)-led alliance with his party’s authorized bodies. (ILKHA)
