The two sides discussed the bilateral relations as well as the commercial and economic situation of the Islamic Emirate, the ministry said in a statement.

Muttaqi thanked Iran for returning the Afghan prisoners to Afghanistan, and now the process of delivering them is underway.

For his part, Qomi said that Iran is committed to further cooperation with Afghanistan.

“Iran is ready to import Afghan products and fruits at a reasonable price and to cooperate widely with Afghan farmers in the sector of agriculture,” he added. (ILKHA)
