Hamas rejects Sharm El-Sheikh conference, official says
Member of Hamas’s political bureau and head of its international relations office, Mousa Abu Marzouk, stressed his Movement’s rejection of the conference scheduled in the Egyptian coastal city of Sharm El-Sheikh to call for maintaining calm in the region.
In a press statement on Friday, Abu Marzouk stressed that the only choice for Palestinians is to escalate their resistance activities, calling on the Palestinian Authority (PA) to end security coordination with the zionist occupation and coordinate with Palestinian resistance factions instead.
Abu Marzouk underlined that such a conference coincides with the new israeli campaign of demolitions launched against the Palestinian houses in 1948 Occupied Palestine.
About his current visit to Moscow, Abu Marzouk said that the Movement discussed with Russian officials international developments and their relation to the Palestinian issue.
The PA had decided to participate in another security meeting with the zionist regime scheduled in Sharm El-Sheikh city in the coming days. (ILKHA)
