Madagascar migrants death toll rises to 34 after boat sank
The death toll from the sinking of a boat carrying irregular migrants from Madagascar to the French island of Mayotte has hit 34, authorities said on Tuesday.

The boat was carrying 58 people when it capsized off Ankazomborona, a town in northwestern Madagascar on Saturday night.
24 survivors rescued Saturday night by fishermen reportedly fled before the authorities arrived.
