No issue in principle to join People's Alliance in the parliamentary election-- HÜDA PAR chairman
“There is no problem in principle to join the People’s Alliance in the parliamentary elections,” said Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, the chairman of HÜDA PAR (Free Cause Party).
AK Party Deputy Chairman Numan Kurtulmuş and Ak Party Deputy Chairman Ali İhsan Yavuz, who is responsible for election affairs, met with Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu at HÜDA PAR Headquarters on Monday.
The sides held a joint press conference following the meeting.
Reminding that they will support President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the presidential elections, Yapıcıoğlu said: “There is no problem in principle to join People’s Alliance in the parliamentary elections. However, there is no clarity yet on the details of how it will happen. Hopefully, if it becomes clear, we will share it with the public. The delay in our decision should not be perceived as a sign of covert bargains. Our priority is the interests of our nation, and the well-being of our country."
Upon a question, Yapıcıoğlu noted that they could make a visit to the AK Party this week or next weekend.
On Saturday, HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu announced that his party will support the incumbent president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Türkiye’s presidential election. (ILKHA)
