Sıddık Durğun passes away in Elazığ R Type Prison
Sıddık Durğun, who was arrested for Islamic activities, has passed away at age of 72 in R Type Prison in Türkiye’s eastern Elazığ province.

Sıddık Durğun, with severe dementia, died in a cell in Elazığ R Type Prison where he was held in solitary confinement on Saturday morning.
Born in the Hazro district of Diyarbakır, Sıddık Durğun took his place at the forefront of Islamic activities in the district in the 1990s. Durğun especially used to introduce Islam to the young and instill in them Islamic moral values.
Durğun's body was buried after the funeral prayer held in Diyarbakır's Hazro district. (ILKHA)
