S-PPI (2017=100) increased by 15.57% on monthly basis, by 15.57% on December of the previous year basis, by 82.64% on same month of the previous year basis and by 90.32% on the twelve months moving averages basis in January 2023.

Transportation and storage services increased by 81.30% annually

The indices increased by 81.30% for transportation and storage services, by 94.60% for accommodation and food services, by 69.29% for information and communication services, by 78.96% for real estate services, by 93.00% for professional, scientific and technical services, by 84.52% for administrative and support services compared with the previous year.

Transportation and storage services increased by 12.84% monthly

The indices increased by 12.84% for transportation and storage services, by 13.39% for accommodation and food services, by 13.52% for information and communication services, by 19.66% for real estate services, by 24.20% for professional, scientific and technical services, by 22.07% for administrative and support services compared with the previous month.

Compared to general S-PPI, lower annual change observed in 11 subdivisions while 16 subdivisions were higher

The lowest rates of annual increase in S-PPI by subdivisions of service were the indices for water transport services by 33.38%, for telecommunications services by 53.66%, for legal and accounting services by 54.84%.

On the other hand the highest rates of annual increase in S-PPI by subdivisions of service were indices for advertising and market research services by 130.22%, for veterinary services by 113.34%, for programming and broadcasting services by 112.68%.

Compared to general S-PPI, lower monthly change observed in 13 subdivisions while 14 subdivisions were higher

The highest rates of monthly decrease in S-PPI by subdivisions of service were the indices for programming and broadcasting services by 4.87%, for water transport services by 0.99%.

On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in S-PPI by subdivisions of service were indices for services to buildings and landscape by 44.95%, for employment services by 40.55%, for architectural and engineering services; technical testing and analysis services by 37.83%. (ILKHA)
